Jones started her career with the year 2005, after she finished her degree. Jones began training to prepare to pursue a track career that would be successful. Jones won each of in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions during the same season.

Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her family moved into Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. Brandt was discovered locally by casting directors and landed the lead role as Naevia, in the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Together with producers Steven S.
